Acharya College Of Engineering has established a Committee for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students in accordance with the guidelines of the All India Council for Technical Education Approval Process Handbook and notifications issued by AICTE from time to time. The committee has been constituted to safeguard the interests and welfare of SC/ST students and to ensure an inclusive and supportive academic environment within the institution.
The objectives of the SC/ST Committee include:
. Safeguarding the interests of SC/ST students
· Addressing grievances related to discrimination or harassment
· Creating awareness about government scholarships and welfare schemes
· Ensuring equal opportunities in academic and extracurricular activities
· Promoting an inclusive campus environment
The SC/ST Committee performs the following functions:
· Receiving and addressing grievances from SC/ST students
· Conducting meetings to discuss student welfare issues
· Organizing awareness programs related to scholarships and student welfare schemes
· Monitoring the implementation of policies that support SC/ST students
· Ensuring a campus environment free from discrimination
